It's been a wild 3 days. I sat down to knock out a few things on UOAddicts.com and ended up shipping like 7 sessions worth of features. Sometimes you just get in the claude zone and don't stop.
Here's everything that went live.
Fan Sites
This one I've wanted for a while. Players can now submit fan sites for specific UO servers — tools, wikis, trading sites, community hubs, whatever. Each submission goes through admin approval so the directory stays quality and isn't just a spam dump. Once approved, fan sites show up on the server's detail page and on the main fan sites listing at [/fan-sites](https://uoaddicts.com/fan-sites). You can react and comment on them too, same system as guides and scripts.
Server Tags & Filters
This is probably the biggest quality-of-life improvement. Every server on UOAddicts (all 55 of them) is now tagged with:
- PvP type — PvP, PvE Only, Consensual PvP, Felucca Only
- Map type — Original or Custom
- Era — T2A, Renaissance, AoS, Custom
- Emulator — ServUO, RunUO, ModernUO, Sphere, POL, Broadsword
- Skill cap — 700, 720, or no cap
- Language — English, Portuguese, German, Russian, and more
And the server list page now has a full filter bar. Click "PvE Only" and "Custom Map" and boom — you see exactly the servers that match. If you have a preferred server set, it pins to the top with a little star badge. Check it out at [/servers](https://uoaddicts.com/servers).
Server & Shard Page Redesign
Every server page now has a stats bar showing builds, scripts, guides, players, characters, and guilds at a glance. Tag pills show the server's metadata right up front. The shard pages (players, characters, guilds) all got rewritten with breadcrumb navigation and cleaner card layouts. External website links now show a "Leaving UOAddicts" confirmation modal so you know you're heading off-site.
Player Profiles Overhaul
Profiles got a complete makeover. You can now add an About Me section, custom links (Twitch, YouTube, Discord — with domain validation), and see your activity feed showing everything you've contributed. The stat cards are clickable, all the sub-pages (scripts, builds, characters, guides, reactions, comments) are redesigned for both desktop and mobile. Character detail views now show server and shard as clickable badge pills with established dates.
Builds Enhancement
Build templates now support editing and deleting (with confirmation). All listing pages have text search and tag quick-filters — PvP, PvM, crafting, taming, you name it. The reaction system works on builds now (like, love, helpful, informative, dislike) and there's a new [Popular Builds](https://uoaddicts.com/builds/popular) page ranked by community votes.
Comments Everywhere
Comments landed on scripts, guides, builds, and fan sites. Each comment supports reactions. They're paginated with Load More. There's also a [/comments](https://uoaddicts.com/comments) page showing the 50 most recent comments across the site.
Discover Page
The [Discover page](https://uoaddicts.com/discover) got redesigned with community stats, popular builds, recent guides, recent scripts, and a live activity feed that updates in real-time showing new users, characters, and content.
Behind the Scenes — Admin Tools
I also did a full admin overhaul. Shared navigation across all admin pages, color-coded audit logs, content removal that actually works now (before it was only marking reports as reviewed but not hiding the content... oops). There's a new admin scripts page for managing anonymous uploads, role management, shadow ban and full ban system with session invalidation, and a blocked email list that auto-blocks on ban. Pretty much everything an admin would need to keep the community healthy.
What's Next
Taking a breather on dev for now. There's still items database, monster database, guild management, account deletion, and full-text search on the roadmap. But for now, 55 tagged and filterable servers, fan sites, a full comment system, and redesigned everything feels pretty good.
If you play UO, come check it out. If you run a fan site or know of one, submit it. If you've got a build template, share it. The whole point of UOAddicts is the community building it together.
